assistant manager / bridal stylist

rare bridal bar is looking for a part-time position of assistant manager / bridal stylist to join our rapidly growing team! the primary role of this position will be to assist in running the day to day operations of rare bridal bar including, but not limited to: placing customer orders, receiving inventory, responding to customer inquiries, overseeing stylists in their appointments, as well as working one on one with brides to help find their perfect gown.

POSITION:
part time (20 - 25 hours), mid level
REPORTS TO:
shop manager
SALARY: competitive hourly pay based on experience, plus commission, tips + sales bonuses

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT MANAGER / BRIDAL STYLIST

  • assist stylists in their appointments, answering any questions and helping them close the sale

  • attend chicago bridal market twice a year and guide the team in inventory buying decisions

  • create a 5-star experience for our brides + their group from initial phone call to preserving their gown after the big day

  • style brides from head to toe during private one on one appointments + help them find their dream wedding day look

  • answer phones + respond to emails to make sure our brides have all the information they need from us

  • place, confirm, and receive all stock and customer orders

  • inventory management: ensure our physical inventory is in great shape as well as confirm inventory numbers are correct in our ordering systems

  • assist the team with merchandising by keeping the shop clean with eye catching gown + accessory displays

  • attend bi-weekly team meetings + monthly trainings to stay up to date and informed on what’s happening in the shop

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years experience in the bridal / luxury retail industry

  • passionate about inclusivity and celebrating all love

  • excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • understand basic fit + construction of plus size garments

  • 2+ year commitment to growing with our team

  • preference for working in a fast-paced, woman-run, entrepreneurial environment

  • excellent time management + multi-tasking skills

  • highly organized + strong attention to detail

  • love for learning, personal growth, and willingness to change/adapt in order to succeed
