bridal stylist

rare bridal bar is looking for a part-time bridal stylist to join our rapidly growing team! the primary role of this position is to work one on one with brides to help find their perfect gown in addition to working with the team to complete daily tasks around the shop, assist with merchandising, and bride communication.

POSITION: part time (20 - 25 hours), entry level
REPORTS TO: assistant manager
SALARY: competitive hourly pay based on experience, plus commission, tips + sales bonuses

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BRIDAL STYLIST

  • create a 5-star experience for our brides + their group from initial phone call to preserving their gown after the big day

  • style brides from head to toe during private one on one appointments + help them find their dream wedding day look

  • answer phones + respond to emails to make sure our brides have all the information they need from us

  • attend chicago bridal market twice a year and assist the team in making inventory buying decisions

  • assist the team with merchandising by keeping the shop clean with eye catching gown + accessory displays

  • attend bi-weekly team meetings + monthly trainings to stay up to date and informed on what’s happening in the shop

  • assist with content creation by doing dress try ons for social media

REQUIREMENTS:

  • passionate about inclusivity and celebrating all love

  • excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • understand basic fit + construction of plus size garments

  • 2+ year commitment to growing with our team

  • preference for working in a fast-paced, woman-run, entrepreneurial environment

  • excellent time management + multi-tasking skills

  • highly organized + strong attention to detail

  • love for learning, personal growth, and willingness to change/adapt in order to succeed

  • while not required, preference will be given to applicants with bridal / luxury retail experience
